E. Forlanini, in Italia la storia dell\u2019aliscafo inizia a Messina presso i Cantieri Navali di Leopoldo Rodriquez. Nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale Carlo Rodriquez, che aveva ereditato l\u2019attivit\u00e0 dal padre Leopoldo, venuto a conoscenza di studi tedeschi sull\u2019aliscafo, si interess\u00f2 al progetto. Concluso il conflitto, assunse l\u2019architetto navale tedesco F. L\u00f6bau, uno dei collaboratori del \u201cProgetto aliscafo\u201d, per svilupparne gli studi a scopi commerciali.
