The eighth generation introduced the PCR air sampler that was specifically developed, patented and built to collect pathogenic microorganisms dispersed in the bio-aerosol for “almost in real time” detection by molecular biology tests or traditional microbial culture tests. 

The PCR model was the results of an European project about the military defence on the battle field. 

The PCR was on board of 40 Italian Army-tanks.
